Mission Tanzania Water Project
We have raised $1095 toward drilling a well in Tanzania to provide drinking water for thousands of people. We have a matching grant for up to $5000, so we are nearly half way to paying for one well. Prayerfully consider making an offering to this worthy project. If we can raise $5000, then with the match we can drill two wells! If you are not able to give, we would still appreciate your prayers for this lifegiving project!
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
We are experiencing a beautiful lenten season. We added an outreach projects for lent. This lenten project which can be ongoing is the Tanzania Water Project.
On Sunday, April 11th, we had an amazing Zoom presentation by Alex Haimanis. He inspired us by sharing stories about how God has used him to help people in Africa. For many years Alex has boldly followed his heart and prayerfully served those in need. One of the many projects that he has been involved with is drilling wells in Tanzania. Alex is a retired bartender that has found a new way to serve people drinks. He is devoted to giving people clean drinking water and the drinks he serves now literally save lives!
As a lenten project we would like to support this effort. It costs $5000 to drill a well. Let’s prayerfully consider how we can offer our support for this project. Below is a link to a video which shows how great the need is. Parents can watch this with their children and it is a good lesson to help them understand our blessings and to have compassion for those in need.
You may send checks payable to Holy Trinity Cathedral placing Mission Tanzania in the memo line. In that case, we will send one large check toward the effort. We have a donor who will generously match your donation 100% up to $5000.00! Let's all pitch in to get at least TWO WELLS donated from the Holy Trinity community! We are collecting donations through Bright Week, so get your donations to the Holy Trinity Cathedral Office by May 7th, 2021!
Alex and his team are Orthodox Christians working with the Orthodox Church in Tanzania. 100% of the money raised goes directly to the project. Everyone that works is a volunteer.
