Outreach
Our mission is to bring all people to full maturity in Christ through Worship (Liturgia), Service (Diakonia), Education (Paideia), Witness (Martyria), and Fellowship (Koinonia), guided and united in all things by the one Holy Spirit.
At Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, we seek to renew and share the Orthodox Christian Faith in America by nurturing a deeper commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ within His Church, by reaching out to inactive Orthodox Christians and to the unchurched, and by meeting the needs of those inquiring about the Orthodox Faith. We also seek to stay connected to the members of the Body of Christ by regularly visiting the sick, the imprisoned, and the homebound.
We have been called to bring the Gospel of our Lord to all those in America who thirst to know The Way, The Truth and The Life, thus offering Orthodox Christianity to contemporary America. This call to action is met here by the many outstanding ministries this parish provides such as our Philoxenia and St. Photios ministries.
We also recognize that there are many who cannot come to church due to illness, imprisonment, or who are homebound. We seek to meet their needs through clergy and lay visitations. Our visitations are carried out through the work of Philoptochos and the St. Nektarios Parish Nursing/Lay Visitation, ministries.
